Of the list of uncertainties that plague humanity, no doubt the existence or not of life outside the planet earth is at the top along with the "where we came from and where we are going". In the course of history, many people have already reported some kind of experience with extraterrestrial beings, which has led many curious and graduate researchers to become interested in the investigation and documentation of these facts, giving rise to Ufology.
Ufology is the set of subjects and activities associated with interest in UFOs (unidentified flying objects) and phenomena related to extraterrestrial attempts to make contact with either abductions (abductions), telepathic communications, messages on plantations, cattle mutilations, and the like. As already mentioned, the subject is the object of several investigations carried out by governments, journalists, scientists and independent groups.
The belief that some unidentified flying objects may have extraterrestrial origin and testimonies of alien abduction are rejected by much of the scientific community. There is no widely accepted evidence of life outside the planet earth. Therefore, ufology is not a recognized field of scientific research, as it is based on a partly speculative investigation that does not make use of the scientific method.
Even considered a pseudoscience, in 2019, with an agreement announced at the International Congress of Astronautics, scientists from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) Satellite Weights and Weights in Transit joined the Breakthrough Listen, an institution of astronomical researchers of extraterrestrial intelligence founded in 2015. This indicates a major step toward recognition by the scientific category.

Another subject that always comes into play when talking about aliens is the famous Area 51. The site is a full plate for conspiracy theories, as it is believed to be the base where the United States government stores and hides alien bodies and UFOs. The official name of the Area is Nevada Test and Training Range, a unit of Nellis Air Base that is now used as an open training camp for the US Air Force.
The ufological movement has been driven by a number of personalities. One of the leading ufologists, American astronomer J. Allen Hynek, is best known for UFO investigations and his efforts to promote ufology as a legitimate science. Hynek studied astronomy at the University of Chicago before entering college at Ohio State University. In the late 1940s, he reviewed reports of aircraft sightings not identified as a consultant to the U.S. Air Force "Project Sign". In the 1950s he began conducting deeper research with the "Blue Book" project, a quest to turn the study of UFOs into a scientific practice. J. Allen later founded the UFO Study Center and published several books on the subject.
In Brazil, the great name of the ufological study is Ademar José Gevaerd, a chemist who gave up the area to dedicate himself exclusively to Ufology. In 1983, at the age of 21, he founded and until today he is the president of the Brazilian Center for Flying Discs Research (CBPDV), the largest entity of its kind in the world, based in Curitiba (PR) and Campo Grande (MS) and with over 4,000 associates. In 1985, he created the UFO Magazine, of which he has been editor since then. The publication is the only one on Ufology in the country, with more than 35 years of duration, and the oldest in circulation worldwide, a record in time and number of issues. Besides UFO, Gevaerd is the editor of a series of books specialized in Ufology, called the UFO Library collection, today with 46 titles by national and international authors, and the coordinator of a series of ufological documentaries on DVD, the UFO Video Library collection, with 170 titles, considered the largest collection of its kind in Portuguese language.

When talking about famous cases of contact with extraterrestrials, we cannot forget to mention some of the most impacting ones for the ufological community, such as the records made in Turkey in 2008. They are considered by many enthusiasts as the most important of a UFO of all times.
The object was seen near the nation's capital, Ankara, and the one who captured the images was a guard from the Yenikent Complex. In addition, numerous witnesses confirmed that they had witnessed the apparitions.
Probably the most famous UFO event of all time, the Roswell episode in New Mexico in 1947 ensured that to this day the area was visited by thousands of people. According to reports, a flying saucer fell on a ranch in the region, and countless soldiers from a military base located in the city were seen collecting all traces of the fall.

Incident in Roswell, July 1947
However, the authorities denied that the debris thoroughly assembled was from a spacecraft. The official version is that the object was nothing more than surveillance equipment used in covert operations.
Another famous sighting occurred in London in 2011. Several circular objects were seen flying near the Tower of London, an important and much visited tourist spot in the English capital. Despite the existence of different videos and the reports of countless witnesses, experts assure that the bright circular-looking lights are the easiest to reproduce, so they were considered forged.
In Brazil, in 1986, about 20 UFOs were detected by radar over the city of São Paulo, causing a military mobilization that resulted in the sending of five jets to intercept the objects. However, the supposed spacecraft quickly disappeared, both from the pilots' and radar view, leaving many people perplexed about what was happening.

And this wasn't the only one in the country. According to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, there are more than 700 records of UFO appearances in Brazil. The documents are available physically, but can be accessed, in a virtual way, through the National Archive Information System (SIAN, Portuguese abbreviation).
Now that we have been introduced to the subject, we can move on to the somewhat peculiar part of this matter. Malignum interviewed some people spread throughout Brazil who claim to have seen or had any kind of experience with aliens. We also invited the ufologist, Antônio Faleiro, to analyze each of the reports.

CHILD DOES NOT LIE
Resident of Porto Alegre, Brazil, Janaina Rezer, 39 years old, never forgot what happened that fall night in 1991.

It was near midnight, the 11-year-old girl was returning from church with her mother and sisters. The road was the same as always, the paved and steep street, a hill that tired anyone. The neighborhood of May 1 in Poá, São Paulo, was not very busy, but the walk became less boring and tiring by the freezing breeze of March and the view of the moon with the starry sky.
With a full belly because of the dinner of parents and students of catechism, their eyes were fixed on the stars. However, one of them shone more brightly than anyone else, and besides, he moved frantically in the skies. Until she realized that it was not a star, it was a circular piece made of steel that spun very fast. So fast that it exploded into a red light faster than her eyes could keep up.

The object vanished into thin air. It looked like it didn't exist. No trace. When you thought of talking your sisters into looking, there was nothing left to be seen.
The disc spun fast and had some lights on the sides, one on each side. But it was round the disc. It was a matter of a minute. Then I started calling my mother and pulling her clothes because she was talking to my sister. By the time they looked, he was gone. My mother said I'd only seen a plane.
Nobody believed the little girl. They laughed and said she had dreamed. These days she doesn't talk about it to anyone. The event traumatized her in a way, because as it was not something she expected, it frightened her so much that for a long time she was afraid to look up at the sky and see it again.

TWO IS GOOD, THREE IS TOO MUCH
Douglas Augusto dos Santos, 34, experienced two apparitions in Palmas, Paraná, the city where he lives.

2015 seemed to be another year without many emotions. The same routine as always, until that day came. Doug, as he likes to be called, was sitting at the door of his house, the sky was cloudy and windy. As he turned his eyes to the air, he saw a small UFO the size of a basketball flying above his house. The object was high up, just below the clouds, and was changing position quickly. It was a spherical light. Scared, the young man went inside and stayed there until he fell asleep.
That same night, the waiter, by a coincidence - or not - had a lucid dream (lucid control of his actions within a dream). He was in an oval room. In the room there were many chairs and, sitting on them, many blond, tall beings, apparently over two meters high. Douglas was in the center, he felt that his body was no longer in his room, somehow floating in the middle of the room while trying to dematerialize a piece of glass with his hands.
There was a leader, a little older, sitting prominently among them, and ordered him to do it. It simply came to his mind that it was a test, and he had failed in his mission.
That wasn't the first time. On the evening of Christmas Eve 2013 I also saw a UFO in the sky, standing still, it was a white sphere moving. It wasn't a plane, you could see it was a sphere, and it was moving very fast.
Doug says he has a family history with these experiences. His aunt saw a flying saucer when she was 10 years old, in 1960. She didn't even know what it was, she just described it as two dishes, one on top of the other, silver, and it was very windy.
Well, I do research, I read a lot about UFOs, but after I had that dream I tried to reproduce it again, but without success. I think if it was something unreal, it would have worked. I told my family, but since I have a reputation for liking those things, they didn't work out. I don't participate in any group, just that Facebook group (ET's e ETC... em busca da verdade sobre OVNIs), but it's very difficult for someone to take a story like that seriously
According to Douglas, what he saw was real, and until today, he has never found anyone who has experienced anything like it.

MOM, CAN I STAY WITH THEM?
Finally, let's get to know the story of Rayane, a 20-year-old Amazonian who lives with her husband in Manaus.
Picture: Rawpixel from freepik.com
Rayane Araújo had her first experience in 2012, at the age of 12, when she lived in Careiro Castanho, in the interior of Amazonas. She and her brother watched movies until late and it was already past one o'clock in the morning when they decided to sleep. When they got up from the sofa they saw a white light through the window passing through the clouds. At first they thought it was an airplane or some other kind of air transport. However, on closer inspection, they realized that it was an object never seen by them, with a circular iron body and white and red lights that in the blink of an eye moved quickly and disappeared without explanation. At that moment, her brother was without reaction to that apparition, however, she was never so happy, because she was always interested in knowing more about extraterrestrials, UFOs and more.
So, Rayane grew up, got married and moved to the state capital, Manaus, and she and her husband share the interest for documentaries and reports about UFOs and life outside the earth. Besides sharing the same tastes, they shared an experience. At a dinner with friends at their house, the two couples were in the kitchen where they had a window that allowed them to see the sky in a very wide way. "We lived on the second floor. It was about 2:30 in the morning and we were just talking about it". The two guests were skeptical. However, minutes after they closed the conversation, Rayane saw a white light in the sky and called everyone to see. They looked and, of course, said it could be a plane, but the young lady insisted that it was not a UFO. While everyone laughed at her belief, suddenly it moved and disappeared in the same way it did when she was little, and everyone reacted. "That's when I said, 'You don't believe yet?".

After the event, the young woman began to dream for several nights about flying saucers, as if she were leaving her own body and being abducted into that saucer, the same saucer she saw when she was little.
I started dreaming about it every day, I got so crazy that I spent sleepless nights watching videos about them and wanting to connect, but I could only do it in my dreams.
Last year (2019), Rayane saw UFOs three times in a month, and she says she's completely in love with them.
You'll think it's just some stories I'm telling, but I know what I saw in my dreams. They talked to me, but they didn't communicate by lips, it was by mind. I heard them through my mind and they said they wouldn't hurt me. I tried in various ways to connect again, not only through dreams, but also telepathically, but I could not do it. I was going over the edge and starting to go crazy with it, yet I believe they are, they are already among us, and the world will know that someday.
In his lucid dream of December 2019, he saw clearly the images of aliens. According to the description, each one had a particular physical appearance. Some were small with a larger head than the average human being, and others were very thin and tall.
In total, they had six beings, did not wear clothes, had a light greenish skin tone, their eyes were pulled out, their hands were big, and their fingers were huge thin. They were all around their bed watching, standing still. They didn't say anything, maybe, they communicated, the girl heard only whispers."I felt no fear. I'm not afraid of them".
According to the ufologist, Antonio Faleiro, by his analysis, all three cases have the possibility of being real contacts, this is due to the coincidence with several similar events that he verified during 40 years of study.
Regarding Douglas' first account, the expert believes that the boy saw a probe, due to the size he describes as a basketball. In the second report "the boy describes the sighting of a UFO, I myself saw one during the day and it was discoid, grey in color without any noise. At night they present themselves as fireballs, reddish in color", he says.
In the third case, of the character Rayane, Faleiro says that many people who have contact with UFOs report interesting dreams, with kidnapping experiences and inside ships. "It may be that she was abducted (and doesn't assimilate this way) some day and is reporting your contact" complete.
With this text we may not have guaranteed concrete conclusions for the confirmation of the suspicions of the existence of life outside the earth, nor was it our intention, but we added our contribution to the most cliché possible question when the subject is aliens: are we alone in the universe?
